Our first two weeks have been absolutely great this year. We have had Spanish lessons, pilgrim feasts, pool parties, kick ball, academic challenges, artistic self-portraits, Hungry Howie’s pizza, encouragement from teachers and parents alike, and the rest of the year promises to be just as full of creativity and accomplishment as the beginning has been. Thank you, Everyone, for making Covenant Academy the success that it is.

Ms. Monica will be returning to school to continue working toward her degree and certification to teach in the state of Tennessee. She has been a wonderful staff member. Anthony Peluso, a fourth grader in Mrs. Earls classroom, has triumphed over all the spellers in third through eighth grade in our annual spelling bee competition for 2010. What a victory! He has also won for his grade in the regional bee in Cleveland, Tennessee, and placed second in the state competition in Nashville, Tennessee.
Our grade level winners for the Spelling Bee were Rachel Reyes (6th grade), Drew Harrell (7th grade), Anna Doyle (5th grade), Anthony Peluso (4th grade and overall winner), and Hannah McNabb (3rd grade).
