High School
August 4, 2018We offer three diplomas: an academic or college-bound diploma, a general diploma, and a vocational diploma. Students enrolling in high school choose a course of study and must take at least seven classes per year to graduate in four years. The requirements for each diploma and the entire curriculum are outlined in the handbook. Our schedule is much like a college schedule with four classes each day, alternating A and B days so that students are taking seven or eight classes simultaneously, and it takes the full year to receive a credit for any course. Students who excel have the option to attend Advanced Studies classes at Walters State their junior and senior years to accumulate college credits while they are still in high school. We endeavor to design a course of study for our students that will help them to be well prepared for whatever path they choose to take after high school.
