Our grade level winners for the Spelling Bee were Rachel Reyes (6th grade), Drew Harrell (7th grade), Anna Doyle (5th grade), Anthony Peluso (4th grade and overall winner), and Hannah McNabb (3rd grade). These students competed against students from other private schools in East Tennessee in the regional TANAS spelling bee. Anna, Anthony, and Hannah went on to the state competition in Nashville where Hannah placed third in the 3rd through 5th grade contest. Anthony was the second place winner in that division.

Anthony Peluso, a fourth grader in Mrs. Earls classroom, has triumphed over all the spellers in third through eighth grade in our annual spelling bee competition for 2010. What a victory! He has also won for his grade in the regional bee in Cleveland, Tennessee, and placed second in the state competition in Nashville, Tennessee.
